Jimmy Spices

Jimmy Spices, hands down one of my favourite restaurants a good 3 years ago.

Not any more...

Having recently visited for a friends birthday dinner in Wimbledon, then again in Epsom as part of a celebration dinner for University hand-in deadlines, the continental buffet has dropped dramatically in standards.

Quality of food was slacking, the chicken didn't even taste like chicken... Rather a chewy pink/white meat. The drinks and dessert helped flush down the food... But even then 'fresh' cut up fruit looked bruised, cake was stale and the apricots looked as though they were straight out of a Del Monte can.

Staff were rude, and despite booking a table we were squashed onto a 4 seater table with 6 paying customers, although we were waiting for 4 MORE people we were refused to change tables, being told we would need to pay for the extra people if they didn't turn up... As though we were lying in order to gain extra space. After creating a fuss and having a word with the manager, an hour later we finally moved.

Although some chefs here cook food in front of you, the quality of food is dire, the staff are rude and your £13.99 is better spent elsewhere.

Overall: 1/10

Simply for the presentation of the restaurant.
Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Eleto's Del'Aziz Meal

A massive Happy Birthday to my good 'ol friend Jennifer, we celebrated at Del'Aziz at Westfield.

Food was lovely as always, a much better standard of food than my last visit here.

Service was slow, but the overall ambience was perfect for an intimate gathering.

Ordered the Saffron Chicken with rice, a MUST try.

Accompanied by a Virgin Mint Moroccan Mojito.

Overall: 7/10

Finally, a start!

I love and live for food. And.. Well after countlessly being told I should start up my own food blog... I guess here it goes...

As well as expressing personal opinions about my experiences at restaurants and bars, i'll be posting about fashion and general bits and bobs.

Last night I had visited 'Meat & Wine' at Westfield in White City; words cannot describe how blown I away I was with the standard of the food and the impeccable service from its staff. I have visited a few restaurants, but this by far exceeded my expectations; guess you can think of it as a hidden gem tucked away in the numerous restaurants available at Westfields.

Will definitely be visiting again

Photos will be uploaded from my next visit
